Felt Nordic-Inspired Christmas Decorations — How to Make

    To make these felt Nordic-inspired Christmas decorations, you will need:

     

    Now you’ve got your Christmas crafting essentials together here’s how to make this trio of felt Christmas decorations:

    Bell — Felt Nordic-Inspired Christmas Decorations

    1. Firstly using the image as a guide cut two bell shapes from the red felt.
    2. Take one bell shape and using a needle and white thread, embroider a snowflake in the centre using a back stitch technique.
    3. Now pin the two felt bell shapes together and blanket stitch all the way round leaving a 2cm opening by the bottom of the bell.
    4. Use the 2cm opening to fill your felt bell with polyester stuffing and then stitch up, attaching a gold jingle bell into the stitch.
    5. To finish thread the white satin ribbon through the top of the felt bell.

    Stocking — Felt Nordic-Inspired Christmas Decorations

    1. Using the image as a guide cut two red stocking shapes and one white trimming from the felt.
    2. Take one felt stocking shape and using a needle and white thread, embroider one snowflake and two halves as shown in the image.
    3. Now pin the two felt stocking shapes together and blanket stitch all the way round leaving a gap at the top for the white felt trimming.
    4. Use the opening to fill your felt stocking with polyester stuffing.
    5. Next wrap the white felt trimming around the top of the stocking and continue to blanket stitch around the top.
    6. To finish thread the white satin ribbon through the top of the stocking, along with a gold jingle bell.

    Star — Felt Nordic-Inspired Christmas Decorations

    1. Firstly using the image as a guide cut two identical star shapes from the red felt.
    2. Take one felt star shape and using a needle and white thread, embroider a snowflake in the centre using a back stitch technique.
    3. Now pin the two felt star shapes together and stitch all the way round leaving a 2cm opening.  We used a blanket stitch.
    4. Use the 2cm opening to fill your felt star with polyester stuffing and then stitch up.
    5. To finish thread the white satin ribbon through the top of the star, along with a gold jingle bell.
